Dubai, May 29 (PTI) The UAE has said that peace will never return to the Middle East unless Palestinians are granted the right to establish their own state, and advocated a seat for Palestine in the UN General Assembly.
A permanent and long-lasting peace in the Middle East requires Israel's withdrawal from all the occupied Palestinian and Arab lands, including Syria's Golan Heights and the occupied lands of Lebanon, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organisations Saeed Mohammed Al-Shamsi said.
"Israel should return to the borders of 4th June 1967 as per the legitimate international resolutions and the Arab peace Initiative," Al Shamisi said, addressing the 16th ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement that concluded in Bali on Friday.
