Kundapur, Jan 7: The traditional fishermen here are enraged as kerosene has not been supplied to them as promised by the district in-charge minister. The Gangolli zone traditional fishermen's association has warned of a NOTA campaign if 7000 KL of kerosene is not supplied to them within the next 20 days.
Yashwant Kharvi, president of the association said, “We have sent an appeal to CM Bommai, opposition leader Siddaramaiah, all ministers, MPs and MLAs explaining our plight. But none of them is so far able to exert pressure on the union government and get us kerosene released."
"If 7000 KL of kerosene is not supplied within the next 20 days, the traditional fishermen of Gangolli have decided to hold a NOTA campaign. Before holding the campaign, letters will be sent to all MLAs of the coastal districts. The campaign will be extended to all the three coastal districts and protests will be held,” he warned.
