Mangaluru, Jan 5: “Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai should have courage to speak about problems in the state. He should bring enough funds for the state,” said former chief minister and leader of opposition Siddaramaiah.
He was speaking at Kudroli temple on Thursday January 5. Siddaramaiah will later visit Harekala where he will address the public.
Over Siddaramaiah courting controversy over him calling Bommai a puppy, he said, “Many a times, I was ‘huliya’ and Yediyurappa ‘rajahuli’. Will we become tigers?”
He further said, “Nalin Kumar Kateel is a joke. Hence, will not comment about the statement made by him. Nalin does not have knowledge about law, and that is why, he keeps on telling that he will send me to jail. The court will decide about it.”
On a query over the constituency he will fight the upcoming elections, he said, “I will contest from any constituency the high command asks me to. The decision is yet to be taken.”
District Congress president Harish Kumar, MLA U T Khader, former MLAs Vinay Kumar Sorake, Mohiuddin Bava and J R Lobo, former MLC Ivan D’Souza, Congress leaders Inayath Ali and others were present.
