Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 19: Dakshina Kannada on Saturday, November 19, reported one new coronavirus case while one case also registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,180, out of which 8 are currently active. One patient was discharged on November 19.

No deaths were reported on November 19. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 0.23 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

One coronavirus case was reported on November 19. The total active Covid cases are 4.

A total of 10,90,854 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,86,714 have received both doses and 2,99,350 people have received booster doses.

Kundapur reported one case which was symptomatic.
