Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 16: Dakshina Kannada reported two Covid cases while Udupi registered no infections cases on Wednesday, November 16.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district stand at 1,37,175 out of which six are currently active. No patients were discharged on November 16.

No deaths were reported on November 16. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

No coronavirus cases were reported on November 16. The total active Covid cases are three as of now.

A total of 10,90,850 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,86,695 have received both doses and 2,99,041 people have received booster doses.

Udupi, Kundapur and Karkala have reported no cases.
