Panaji: Hazare Not Present at Meeting in Goa Due to Ill-health

Panaji, May 14 (PTI) Social activist Anna Hazare could not make it to a meeting of anti-corruption activists here due to health reasons.

The meeting was addressed by other prominent activists including Kiran Bedi, Swami Agnivesh and Arvind Kejriwal.

Hazare was supposed to kickstart a nationwide anti- corruption campaign from Goa today.

Bedi told reporters here that Hazare was unwell due to the hot weather.

The 72-year-old Gandhian activist, in the limelight recently after his hunger strike over Lokpal Bill, is also known to have a knee-problem.
