Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 6: Dakshina Kannada on Sunday, November 6, reported two new coronavirus cases while five cases were registered in Udupi.
The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,168 out of which 10 are currently active. As many as two patients were discharged on November 6.
No deaths were reported on November 6. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.
The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.
Positivity rate for the day stood at 0.37 percent.
So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.
Udupi
Five coronavirus cases were reported on November 6.The total active Covid cases are six.
A total of 10,90,830 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,86,421 have received both doses and 2,97,793 people have received booster doses.
Udupi reported one case, Kundapur added four cases and Karkala zero cases.
