Sullia, Nov 4: A 7-year-old boy died of cardiac arrest on Wednesday in Sullia taluk.
The child, identified as Mokshith K C and a resident of Kuntikaana was studying in Class 2 of the Kukkujadka Government Higher Primary School in Amaramuthnooru village.
Mokshith was in school to attend a Kannada Rajyothsava programme. By afternoon he had developed a mild fever when the teachers called up the child's parents to inform them about it. When the child's father Chandrashekar Acharya visited the school, the child collapsed all of a sudden. Mokshith was immediately rushed to a private hospital where the doctors on examining him said that the child had suffered a cardiac arrest and had died.
The deceased child is survived by his parents and a brother.
