Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 27: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, October 27, reported one new coronavirus cases while three cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,148 out of which 11 are currently active. As many as six patients were discharged on October 27.

No deaths were reported on October 27. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 0.46 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Three coronavirus cases were reported on October 27.The total active Covid cases are 13.

A total of 10,90,813 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,85,980 have received both doses and 2,97,192 people have received booster doses.

Udupi registered two cases while Kundapur added one case and Karkala reported zero.
