Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 26: No Covid cases were reported from Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday, October 26, while two cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,147, out of which 16 are currently active. As many as 5 patients were discharged on October 26.

No deaths were reported on October 26. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Two coronavirus cases were reported on October 26. The total active Covid cases are 15.

A total of 10,90,805 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,85,964 have received both doses and 2,97,142 people have received booster doses.

Kundapura taluk reported two cases which were symptomatic.
