Mumbai, Oct 18: Chief minister Eknath Shinde has directed Cidco officials to provide land to construct Banjara Samaja Bhavan for All India Banjara seva sangha. “The necessary facilities should be provided to Banjara samaj people who have migrated from Karnataka,” he said. He was speaking participating in a programme held at Thane on October 16.
Dr Shanker Pawar, national president of Banjara sangha, minister Sanjay Rathod, and BJP leader Dr Umesh Jadav welcomed and felicitated the chief minister. Devendra Fadnavis, deputy chief minister of Maharashtra was also felicitated. Nearly 40 thousand people from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh participated in the programme. Cultural programmes of the Banjara community were presented in the programme.
The programme was conducted by Dr Umesh Jadav and Dr Shanker Pawar. Maharashtra cabinet minister Sanjay Rathod was present. Ramu Rathod compered the programme.
