Mumbai, Oct 14: “The incident of intercepting the car of Belthangady MLA Harish Poonja at Farangipete, brandishing a sword and threatening to kill the MLA yesterday, October 13 is really condemnable,” said Mumbai BJP south India unit chief secretary Vijay S Shetty Panakaje.

“The attempted murder of my friend, BJP MLA Harish Poonja is shameful for the society. The unidentified suspect should be arrested soon and Karnataka state police should ensure that he is suitably punished. The police department should teach a lesson to the traitors who spoil social harmony,” he said.
