Udupi, Oct 10: A Dalit man, employed in a cooperative society has accused his office colleagues of caste abuse.

Prashant C is the complainant. He works as a secretary in the Public employees’ consumers’ multipurpose cooperative society. He was on medical leave as he suffered wound on his leg.

After completing his medical leave, Prashant joined office. He is alleging that his colleagues Ashwini Kumar, Manjula and Srinivas Shetty used derogatory words against him and insulted him just because he belongs to Dalit community.

Udupi city police station personnel have registered case and are probing further.

    Dalits getting reservation because they are being abused due to their low caste. If a person born in Dalit house (say Priyanka Kharge) is not abused by anyone, will he be eligible for reservation?

    How can this happen in Udupi.., Ex Swamiji of Pejavara Mutt (who is no more today), was very vocal against cast discrimination among Hindu's (sorry to see Jokaras not follow the preachings of Swamiji in Temple town Udupi.., shame on them)

    This law is a double edged sword almost same as POSCO... On the face-value of complaint arrest can happen and if complainant is influential sufficient "Dharmadetu" can be unofficially executed... It is not at all acceptable to condemn a person on account of race, caste, color or creed... Here complaint is against three persons and that makes it doubtful to accept it at face value... I have personally experienced the poor performance and advantage grabbing by these so called dalits and sorts... Also if any of you agree they are the top corrupt in the present government offices...
