Udupi: Pramod Muthalik performs Ayudha Pooja to guns, knives; stirs controversy

Udupi, Oct 5: Sri Rama Sene leader Pramod Muthalik has stirred another controversy by offering pooja to guns and knives on the occasion of Ayudha Pooja.

As part of Ayudha Pooja, Muthalik performed pooja to two guns and knives. He performed pooja in the house of Mohan Bhat, Sri Rama Sene zonal president in Udupi.

He also called on other Hindus to follow suite. "For the survival of Hinduism and India, we have performed this pooja. For the survival of India, everyone should cultivate Ksathrathva for saving Bharath Mata," he said.

Jayaram Ambekallu, district president, Sri Ram Sene, Mohan Bhat and other leaders participated in the rituals.

    I am really astonished to see how even very highly qualified keep worshiping man made stuff... Just as an analogy, if after having blessed with education and brain, if we all start calling and respecting and believing some one else as PM of the country rather than the actual elected current PM, then how will the PM feel??? Similarly when people start believing and worshiping their own created objects rather than true God, then how should God feel, when He is providing us daily food, water, air, shelter, health the list is endless. Don't He truly not deserved to be worshiped alone than anything else?
