Mangaluru/Udupi, Sep 26: Dakshina Kannada on Monday, September 26, reported three new coronavirus cases while four cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,011 out of which 46 are currently active. As many as 13 patients were discharged on September 26.

No deaths were reported on September 26. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,860.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 1.02% percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Four coronavirus cases were reported on September 26.The total active Covid cases are 27.

A total of 10,90,707 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,85,261 have received both doses and 2,84,948 people have received booster doses.

Udupi reported two cases, while Kundapur registered one and Karkala zero.
