Kasargod, Apr 24: We are the people of EASTER, so let us celebrate life. Easter mainly commemorates the glorious Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a feast of victory of life over death and evil.
Believers of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church began Easter celebration with the Holy Eucharist on Saturday at 7.30 pm. Fr Dennis Suvaris the parish priest was the main celebrant. Capuchin Fr Vincent D'Souza was the con-celebrant. He preached on the word of God.
Deacon Wilson D'Souza prepared meaningful liturgy. Coir was led by the sisters and parishners and Br. John Bosco cap was the musician. Church was decorated by the sisters of Holy Face convent,Mr.Henry
Monterio and Philip Monteiro. Believers were assembled in large number and offered Eucharist with renewed vigour and sang Alleluia Christ Is Risen.
On Friday April 22, the people of the Sacred Heart Church Vorkady celebrated the ceremony of
Good Friday in a special way. The people gathered in the church to participate in the way of the Cross in great numbers.
The way of the Cross is arranged in the Church premises and it was well conducted by Dn Wilson
D’Souza, nearly an hour and people participated devoutly. Thereafter under the main celebrant Fr Vincent D’Souza we celebrated the Liturgy of the day. Then the reading of the passion of the Lord was chanted. After that the main celebrant broke the Word of God. Father began the homily with a Konkani
Hymn called “Mojya deva, mojya deva, kithyak thuvem sandlaim maka”.
