M'lore: First Ever General Holy Communion at St Antony’s Church, Kulur on May 1

Mangalore, Apr 24: With the object of renovating the 128-year-old building of St Antony’s Church, Kulur, Mangalore, a general Holy Communion celebration will be held on Sunday May 1.

Antony Lobo, editor of Kulurchem Kireen (church bulletin) said that the money saved organizing general Holy Communion, which is first of its kind in Mangalore Diocese will be used for the construction of new church building. In all 14 children will be undergoing Holy Communion on the day.

On May 1, mass will be organized at 9.00 am and the celebration will be at 12 noon. Fr Herald D’Souza, parish priest of St Antony’s Church will perform the holy mass.

The organizing committee members Rathan, Antony, Aloysius and Augustine have plans to continue the venture every year.
