10 Years have passed since you have gone,
Wish We Could See You One More Time, Walking Through the Door
But, That Is Impossible now, We Will Hear Your Voice No More
We Know You Can Feel Our Tears, And You Don’t Want us To Cry
Yet, Our Heart Is Broken, Because We Can’t Understand Why
Someone So Precious Had To Die
When we were young and growing up
We would disagree on things now and then;
But long gone are the days that We can look at you
And say, “Dad do you remember when?”
It was all of a sudden that, We had to let you go
But We knew that you didn’t want to stay;
You were headed home to Jesus to live forever
And that when you drew your last breath you were on your way.
There is not a day that goes by
That We don’t miss you DAD,
But We know that you are with Jesus
And nothing makes us more glad.
