This day will be a celebration
of the short time you were here,
You will always be remembered
with great love and may tears.
 
But to only feel pain and sorrow
would not be fair,
We always thank God for giving
you to us in our daily prayer.
 
Your life meant so much to us
more than words could say,
We would like you to come back
once again if we knew a way.
 
Now my child, you are an angel
with your heavenly Father above,
We see not only what we lost
but our capacity to love.
 
There will always be a void in our hearts
and our souls grieve forever
Will we forget or stop loving you?
No! Not now…… Not ever.
 
Today as this day is once again upon us
oh, how our hearts still hurt,
But even as we mourn your death,
we will always celebrate your birth.
