A voice we'd love to hear
A smile we will always remember
Of a Dad we loved so dear
 
We did not see you close your eyes
We did not see you die
All we knew was that you were gone
Without a last goodbye
 
No finer Dad this world could hold
Two helping hands and a heart of gold
You left us quietly,your thoughts unknown
But you left us memories we are proud to own
 
Your life was love and labour
Your love for your family true
You did your best for all us
We will always remember you
 
It's often hard to understand,
Why certain things must be
And the reasons why they happen
Are so often hard to see
 
But we find comfort in the knowledge
That God is always there
To keep the one we loved so much
Forever in His care.
