You suffered with courage, 
We knew not your pain, 
We tried to get you well, 
But all in vain.

With tears we saw you sinking, 
We watched you pass away, 
We tendered you with loving care 
But, could not make you stay.

If tears could build a stairway, 
And memories were a lane 
We’d walk all the way to Heaven 
And bring you back again
