I am the grand daughter of Santhan Moti's cousin Alwx Mathias. I remember my childhood days I used to visit"Kunja" house with my grandfather for functions like roce, wedding etc. Also I used to visit during holidays as my sister is to stay close to Santhan ABA'S house. I always remember there was never shortage of food and coffee in his house 24 hours 365 days for visitors and also to workers who work in his field. I have beautiful memories of him calling his wife Queen! Rest in peace Santhan ABBA. May Almighty shine His perpetual light shine upon you and may your spul rest in peace. And watch over SMK kandhan.

A Giant Pine - magnificent and old, stood staunch against the sky and all around shed beauty, grace and power. Within its fold, birds safely reared their young. The velvet ground beneath was gentle and the cooling shade gave cheer to passersby. Its towering arms , a landmark stood - Erect and Unafraid, as if to say, " Fear naught from Life's alarms !". It fell one day..... where it had dauntless stood was loneliness and void. But men who passed paid tribute and said " To know this life was good . It left its mark on me. Its work stands fast. " And so, it Lives ! Such life no bonds can hold - this Giant Pine, magnificent and old .

A man who laughed often, who loved his family and friends , who was respected and trusted, who appreciated the beauty of life , who left the world better than he found it - is the very definition of success. I wish to celebrate the legacy of the incredible man that my Grandfather was and the impact he had on those people who were lucky enough to know him.

Though I have not seen Shirva Bab, I have heard a lot from my husband who is the grandson and of Santan Moti . In fact every day till today there is something or the other which is related to him, or inspired by him or influenced by him. You are a legend and you have left so beautiful memories for the family. I don't think there is anyone like him who built his empire on his own with his intelligence and hard work. I am blessed to be a part of SMK family. Bab will be happy to see his SMK family is expanding and are all together. RIP Bab.

A salute to a great man!!

Santan Moti had given my older brother Baptist Dsouza a job in Syndicate Bank in 1965 - we were a low income family back then and he had taken my brother to the founder of Syndicate Bank TA Pai to get the job.

Great human being indeed - I have never met him but only seen his photo and heard about him from my late brother.

A heartfelt tribute to my Maternal grandfather S.E.Mathias. May Almighty God grant him eternal peace. His faith, love and generosity was exemplary. Santan Moti as he was known, was a Visionary who transformed Shirva. His entrepreneurship turned this sleepy hamlet into a well known town.
