Demise of Mr. Roque Saldanha, Kemmannu - Grateful Acknowledgement

Husband of Mrs. Benedicta Saldanha

Father of Ronald/Renilda, Connie/Victor, Antony/Lavina, Winnie/Anand, Donald/Reshma, Vijay/Roshani, Sunil/Pramila.
Grandfather of Carol, Meryll, Christopher, Reynal, Allen, Ria, Alben, Ruben, Branston, Sherol and Mark.
Mr. Roque Saldanha, 78 years of age left for heavenly abode on Saturday, the 8th November 2014 at Gandhi Hospital in Udupi. It is very rare that one is blessed with such a long life coupled with good health and he was fortunate enough to have both. . Only during the past nine months he was sick and was undergoing treatment. And finally on 8th Nov ’14, God Almighty called him to Eternal Rest without allowing him to undergo any more suffering. 
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, the 10th November at 4.00pm with Holy Eucharistic Service at Church of St. Theresa, Little Flower of Jesus, Kemmannu. Rev. Fr. Valerian Dsouza former Episcopal of Udupi was the main celebrant. Rev. Fr. Clement  Mascarenhas in his homily highlighted the noble qualities of Mr. Roque Saldanha as seen by him during his tenure as a parish priest of Kemmannu Church. Parish Priest, Rev.  Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves, Rev. Fr. Dr. John Mendonca (Judicial Vicar, Udupi Diocese), Rev Fr. Valerian D’Souza (Cap), Rev. Fr.William Martis, Rev. Fr. Lancy Saldanha, Rev. Fr. Denis D’Sa, (PRO, Udupi Diocese), Rev.  Fr. Mahesh Dsouza, Rev. Fr. Fredrick D’Souza (Parish Priest- Thottam ), Rev. Fr. Harold Pereira (Resident Priest),  Rev. Fr. Paul Sequeira, concelebrated the Eucharist.
Mortal remains of Late Mr. Roque Saldanha was given peaceful burial at adjacent cemetery of the parish with family members, relatives, parishioners, friends, non-Christians attending the service in large number
We, family members of Late Mr. Roque Saldanha, thank all the priests and religious for their kind visit, condolences and also participation in the funeral.

Our neighbours, relatives, parishioners and well-wishers, far and near ones, have helped us in more ways than one during short ailment of Mr. Roque Saldanha, supported us during our bereavement and during funeral. We remain grateful to each one of them. The numerous individuals who have stood by us during our papa hospitalization through prayers, personal visits, calls, messages. We thank all our Friends and relatives who have conveyed their condolence’s through sms, e-mails, phone calls and messages through portals. Thank you for being there in the moments of our profound sorrow. Your kindness is deeply appreciated and will always be remembered. Please do continue to keep us all in your prayers, and we assure you that you too will be remembered warmly.
