Acknowledgement & Tribute to our Mai

Monthi Pereira

Passed away on August 28, 2014

We, the bereaved family of   late Monthi Pereira, with grateful hearts, wish to convey our deepest thanks and gratitude that we are deeply touched by your love.  We also wish to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all those  who attended Mai's funeral, offered prayers, sent mass cards and messages of sympathy, floral tributes and shared in our moment of grief.   Our special thanks to our Mangalorean Catholic Centre of the Parish (MCCP) team,  for their continuous prayers  offered at our residence in Oman.   Your love and   prayers has mitigated a very painful process and we believe, facilitated our recovery and healing.

If roses grow in Heaven Lord please pick a bunch for us
Place them in our mother’s arms and tell her they are from us
Tell her we love her and miss her and when she turns to smile
Place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while
Because remembering her is easy we do it everyday
But there is an ache within our heart that will never go away.

Dear Mai, we  have lost you, but  we will forever hold you  in our heart those tears you shed with all the struggles and pains you have suffered for us to bring us up and  we  will forever proclaim your journey..   I am a witness to many of your sacrifices not just to us but to others that have needed you.  Your committed heart and driving force is a glimpse of what lies ahead for the purest love of all..   God’s love, it's through our Parents that He works His divine glory.   Today,  we can only ask God to hold you so tight for us and kiss you and whisper unto you:  “We love you & we miss you Mai”.   Thank you  Mai for giving us so much love more than we needed and asked for. Thank you is not even enough to reward you for everything.  We  know as we write this you are holding us close in your heart like you always do  but we do understand we will meet again.

We love  you Mai  but God loved you the best; Praise God that His thoughts and ways are not like ours.  He did not ask us to understand, but rather to trust Him as our Loving Father who knows best.   Thank you God for allowing us to have a great Mother who stood by us  no matter what, and tell her  we are here for her if there is anything we can do. Mai, the tears which blur our eyes are that of truth and love we have for you.

May her soul and the souls of all faithful departed rest in eternal peace. We request your continuous prayers as we go through the grieving process.

With all our love
