For an angel was born, who is our beloved 'Mai'

She is fondly and dearly called Mai by everyone
Right from the eldest son Harold to the youngest grandson Elton

For all her children & grandchildren she is a source of inspiration,
wonderful guide and a pillar of motivation

The lovely Sundays we still remember
When we had loads of fun and wished for more

Endless cricket, cards and food
Would make every person smile even if in a bad mood

The yummy idlis, chicken curry and dukramas
That all of us relished and enjoyed with no fuss

Those weekends gave you maximum pleasure
We cannot quantify or measure, but can just treasure

Dear Mai we all love you
And ask God to continue to bless you

Today, as Mai celebrates her 80th birthday
We ask you God to bless her every night and day
