Arthur D'Silva (71), son of the late Peter D'Silva and the late Cecilia D'Silva, husband of Lola D'Silva, father of Reshma / Arun, Rohan & Rohini, grandfather of Arjun and Anyam, brother of Walter / Cynthia, the late Hector / Nora, Prakash / Pamela, Sumana / Joslyn, passed away on June 4, 2017.

Funeral cortege leaves residence for St Patrick's Church on Tuesday, June 6 at 2pm. Mass at 3 pm followed by burial at Hosur road cemetery, Bangalore.

Dear Lola and children,

We are just grieving with yourselves at the loss of our beloved.

Memories of our youth days in Kuwait, our sol games and encounters in Nair mess, our Ahmadi trips for the cricket matches and other socials, are haunting us now., Richie and Aggu are just devastated at this news.

As we have been receiving blow after blow which leave us so vulnerable and helpless, all we can do is to pray that Almighty Gives you the strength, tranquility and peace to weather this terrible, errible loss.

It was just 2 months ago we had the rare privilege of meeting him, though little did we know that this would be for the last time. He looked so well and myself and Nolda were pretty confident that he would pull through with all that he was doing. That shows how little we know

Do accept my heartfelt condolences at the sad demise of Arthurba. He lived a happy life, but the Lord wanted him early so that with him, he could "prepare a place for us" in the eternity. May Mother Mary who stood by the Cross be your solace at this time of pain and separation.

I did not expect that he will leave us so soon when I met him last week at Bangalore. God's ways are not our ways, purified as he is, the Good Lord has taken him to His eternal Kingdom.
