Helen Lobo (77), wife of the late Albert Lobo, mother of Dr Charles lobo, CPMG Chennai/ Lilly, Melwyn/Rita, grandmother of Pradeep, Melita, sister of the late Celine, the late Sr Ancilla, Lawrence/Concepta (Bejai), Sr Dorothy SCB (Shimoga), Sr Lilly Pinto UFS (Belthangady), passed away on 19 April 2016 at Chennai.

Funeral cortege leaves residence, Pais Garden , Bejai, Mangalore at 3.00 pm on Thursday, April 21 for St Francis Xavier Church, Bejai, Mangalore, followed by Mass at 3.30 pm.

Whenever I get the news of someone passing away at Bijay whom I knew during my childhood days I feel the loss deep in my heart and it also brings back lots of fond memories of the years between 1953 – 1969 when I was actively taking part in the parish activities together with Lawry, brother of Helen. Luckily my own brothers keep me well informed of the happenings at Bijay and therefore I must say „Ellabai„ thats how she was known to all of us, was one of the most fascinating and dynamic women of her time, who had won a formidable reputation as a warrior on the battlefield of her life. Today her two sons Dr. -Charles and Melwin are the living witnesses of their beloved mother's hard life. Time and again I hear a lot about their outstanding achievements and I truly feel proud of them and join them and all the members of their family in my prayers during these days of sorrow.
