Henry Roche (73), son of the late Abundis and Piyad Monteiro, husband of Ida Buthello, father of Rohan / Clara & Russel / Choden, grandfather of Niharika & Caitlin, brother of Walter Roche, Victor Roche, Julie Roche, Herald, Gladies, Treesa, Alice, Premila & Jenevive, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015.

Mumbai: Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Church, Kurla on Monday August 3 at 3.30 pm.

Funeral cortege leaves residence “Bridget Villa”, Hakki Mane, Sarnadi Road, for St Peter’s Church, Barkur on Tuesday, August 4 at 10.30 am. Mass at 11 am.

We have no words to console you at this sad moment of our Henry Roche’s sudden demise.
Most of the Barkurian’s know him very well since 1988, some even earlier. With like minded people way back in late 80’s he was one of the pioneers, worked tirelessly for Barkrians unity in Mumbai. As St. Peter’s Association Barkur Mumbai - former President he was instrumental to start many welfare activities under the SPA banner in Barkur, especially in native Schools. He started his career as teacher but grown to be a businessman. A helpful, soft spoken, kind hearted person to all and sundries. We miss a gentleman...!
May Almighty grant him eternal peace and strength and courage to the bereaved family to bear this sudden shock.

believe it or not, the words written in bible are witnessed by me as true today. When I saw his face (his dead body) today morning he is smiling same as seen in this photo. One's death reflects one's living on earth. Uncle you were really a gem on this earth. Your soft-spoken words like, bai, babu, balse (baby), Deve boro dis dinv, dev bore korun will always be with me and the people who know you. Your love towards your mother tongue Konkani will never be forgotten. We will miss you uncle, but I am sure you are celebrating your life in heaven with angles, saints, mothermary and Jesus.
