Charles Menezes (64) (Former Secretary and treasurer of BKCS Koramangala and Parish Council member of St Antony's Friary, Bangalore), husband of Leena (D'Souza) Menezes, son of Francis Roman and Elizabeth, father of Sunil / Juliet Pereira & Sushma / Ronald Daniel, grandfather of Nicole, Nathan and Jordan, brother of the late Celine, the late Paul, Irene, the late Gabriel, Sr Bridget (FSM), Sr Maria Roopa (AC), Rita and Sr Florine (Ursuline), passed away on June 8, 2015 in Bangalore.

Funeral cortege leaves residence No.90, Maria Nivas, 4th cross, 2nd Block, Koramangala, Bangalore at 9.45 am for the Holy Mass at 10.00 am on Friday June 12 in St Antony's Friary, Madiwala, Bangalore. Burial will be thereafter at St Patrick's Cemetery, Hosur Road, Bangalore.

Dear Leena,Sunil,Juliet,Sushma, Ronald & family, Charles is no more but lives in our hearts forever as one who always shared & cared for everyone.

Being practically of the same age we grew up together as loving cousins & he with his cheerful nature has left us with wonderful and lasting memories.What is written in 2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful." applies to Charles, my brother, friend & a wonderful counsellor.His life was an open book & a living example of selfless service. His kindness & generosity won him many friends & his sense of humour brought cheers to all those around him.

The way he raised his family with many sacrifices, the way he networked with people with great warmth, the way he welcomed all into his house was a reflection of his Christian values & his deep faith in humanity.

Ever helpful & ever smiling Charles is no more.But his spirit lives on to inspire us to share and care so that when we meet our Creator we can hear from Jesus "When I was hungry you fed me....."(Mathew 25:35-40)

Cheers my dear Charles till we meet in heaven some day! We will miss you & your loving company! We thank God for giving us such a wonderful brother & friend who enriched our lives with his loving presence on this earth for the last 64 years!

Will I cry for Charles who means much to me? No!Instead I thank God for the 6 decades of wonderful fellowship with an iconic personality called Charles!
