Mortal remains will be brought to St Sebastian Church, Bendore, Mangalore on Tuesday 17th February at 4.30 pm for public homage. Mass and final rites will be at 5.00 pm

Dearest Diana, in continuation of the e-mail I had sent to you last night, I include my condolences now to the family. Though I did not know the passing away of your dear Dad John, I visited your Mom today (Feb 23rd) at her residence and condoled with her as well as Leslie. I now send these few words of comfort to the entire family.

Dear Mrs. Juliana Monteiro, Diana/Patrick, Leslie/Shirley, Ashok/Preema and your families, do accept my heartfelt condolences and prayers that your sorrow at the loss of dear John Monteiro be filled with the comfort of our Crucified and Risen Lord.
I thank God for the exemplary life of John Monteiro - a fervent Catholic, sincere member of the Church, above all a true follower of Jesus, so close to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. He daily went to the Bendore Church by 4.30 a.m. and spent an hour before the Blessed Sacrament, offered the Holy Eucharist, received Jesus daily in Communion and spent the rest of the day in thoughts words and deeds of Christian faith and charity! God be praised! May he intercede for all of you and bless you from heaven.
