Vera, Rodney,Chantelle & Shania- we address this to a family who has the love of one another, the closeness of bonding and the strength to face the ups n downs of life together.
We met in 2006 in Spore in 2008 in Melbourne in 2010 we spent time with them in Sugar Land we had the opportunity to offer our house in Mangalore to Vera's larger family when they decided to visit Mangalore to see their roots
(unfort. she could not come as she was unwell- the start of the end) and lately the many wonderful times we have had with them when we spent 3 months with our daughter and her family who are close friends of the Barretto family at Sugar Land.
How proud we feel to have been able to assist Vera when she had to visit the hospitals for her reports, checks etc in Nov/ Dec 14 with the rider that she, ill as she was, drove her car to/ from the hospital.What bravery- what willpower-wow.
Halloween- Thanksgiving- TIPCA picnic- Dandiya Night and many get-together at friends' houses there was Vera, in the midst of everything though she knew in her heart that time was against her.
A week before Xmas she taught others how to make Xmas wreaths for their homes and their main doors and am told she made many more to give to friends who had helped her along her journey battling creeping C.
Europe over the Xmas/ New year fortnight gave her valued time with her immediate family. As the end came she asked that she be brought home to slip away in her own home in the cusp of family love.
