Aloysius (Loy) Mathias (74), husband of the late Rita Mathias nee Pinto, father of Lekha Mathias, brother of Tessie, the late Steve, the late Iris, Kevin, Hazel, Esme, Trevor and Arnold, passed away on November 21, 2014.

Funeral service on Saturday, November 22 at 9.30 am in Our Lady of Miracles Church, Milagres, Mangalore.

Dear Lekha
Heartfelt condolences to you and family. I couldnot believe Loy pssed away. I knew him from St aloysius college days until he was with Bata Calcutta. I had in mind to see him in my next visit to Mlore. He was a very good Basket Player and a very nice man.May his soul rest in Peace. He was in my mind and I was wondering how was Loy keeping and I could see him clearly in my mind very often. You were small when I last saw you in Cal along with Your Mum and Loy and today we are without them. May God give you courage and Blessings to bear this loss. It will be hard as Dad was so close to you. Our hearts and thoughts are always with you.

I have known Loy for the past several years as kind person. He was seen at Milagris Church with his daughter Lakha who used to be ever by his side.

Of late Loy has not been keeping well and his absence at Milagris Church was very much felt by all those who knew him.

My wife Irene and I join several others in offering our sincere condolences to all the members of the bereaved family and specially to Kevin his brother.

You have been a wonderful daughter taking care of both your parents during their time of need.I have fond memories of both of them. Loy was a good friend & had a very successful career at Batas. Archie remembers him as his hockey captain at St Aloysius College and says he was a gentleman on the field. We were happy to meet both of you during our last visit to Mangalore.
