Sr Nichola AC nee Nathalia Vas daughter of late Benjamin Vas and late Assumptio Pasanha passed away on 24 July 2014 at 4 p.m. at St Ann’s Convent, Mangalore in the 62nd year of her religious profession and 90th year of her life.

She hails from Loretto, Bantwal, Mangalore. As a member of the Apostolic Carmel Congregation, she has served Convents in SriLanka, Lucknow, Nanjangud, Udupi and Mangalore. She was known for her life of prayer, sacrifice, hard-work, patience, simplicity and endurance. Her spirit of cheerfulness was remarkable and spread joy all around. In her declining years she spent long hours praying the rosary and interceding for the whole world. May she rest in peace.

Her funeral ceremony will be held on Friday July 25th at 3 p.m. at St Ann’s Convent, Mangalore.
