Charles Monteiro (58), son of the late Hilary and Carmine, husband of Cynthia, father of Divya / Arun & Deepak, grandfather of Andrea, brother of Sr Hilaria, John, Sr Mary John, Sr Mary James, Philip and Letitia, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014.

Funeral cortege leaves residence at Kalpane for St Michael Church, Bellore on Sunday, April 13 at 3.30 pm. Mass at 4.00 pm.

Thereafter, body will be taken to Fr Mullers, as the deceased willed whole body donation for medical study and research.

Charlie and his entire family was very close to the Frank family. His father the great Mr Hilary Monteiro ( Ilarabb) was a well respected personality and was almost adored by my parents. We became close to Charlie when he lived with us as he persued his PUC studies at SAC Mangalore. Even with his medical condition and medication that he had to take during his college days, Charlie was cheerful and did not complain at all. He took it with great stride and fully recovered after a stiff battle. A very simple man, a virtue that he maintained until the end. It is sad Charlie had to leave so early. On behalf of the entire FRANK FAMILY of Mangalore, I extend my sincere condolences to the extended family of Charlie. Goodbye Charlie, rest in peace brother. Until we meet again ! From Babla, Jaya, Lancy, Mohan, Vimala, Naveen Suresh, Ashok and our families.
