Rev Dr Victor Gollapalli (50), Auxiliary Secretary of the Bible Society of India, Bombay Auxiliary, passed away on 2nd Janaury 2014 after a brief illness at D Y Patil Hospital Navi Mumbai. He is survived by his wife Nilima and son Friedel.
Rev Gollapalli is an ordained minister of the Church of North India and served as the Presbyter-in-charge and Stewardship Director of the Bombay Diocesan Council before joining Bible Society of India. He is the founder of Prison Ministries and had a profound experience in Evangelism and pastoral expertise. He held a diploma in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor's degree in Theology from Union Biblical Seminar, Pune, Master in Divinity from Asian Institute of Theology, Bangalore and Doctor of Philosophy from United Theological Open University, Hyderabad.
His zeal and enthusiasm for spreading the gospel in Maharashtra and Goa was beyond measure. The Christian fraternity has lost a pastor, Evangelist and a great spiritual leader.
The funeral is scheduled on Sunday 5 January, Christ Church Clare Road at 3.30 p.m. and burial at 4.30 p.m. at Sewri cemetery.
