Joseph Natesh Nayak (75), husband of the late Babara nee Rozario Nayak, father of Neomi Francis, Nymphea / Jay Reddy, Nisha / Savio D’Souza & Nikhil / Beverley Nayak, grandfather of Yohanan, Bakhita & Stephan, passed away on Friday, March 8 2013.

Funeral Mass will be held at St Mary’s Church, Sarojini Devi road, Secunderabad on Sunday, March 10 at 2.30 pm.

He was an active Member in various associations (in the twin cities of Hyderabad & Secunderabad) in the Churches as well as Welfare associations till the year 2013.

He was the Patron Member in the Kanara Catholic Welfare Association (KCWA). He was very instrumental in entertaining each and every family in their respective programs (viz Marriages, Birthdays, Wedding Anniversaries etc) by way of playing the Guitar, Casio, singing Konkani & English songs as well as dancing with every one present. In the last few years even though he was on his wheel chair yet he entertained all members by playing the Casio and singing the old hit Konkani songs till the year 2013.

Joe Nayak was a great friend of our family when I was working at Canara Bank in the mid80's.He&Barbara were very affectionate &helpful to us.We remember his cheerful ways &goodness.We are sad to hear that Barbara is also no more. Our heartfelt condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace!

My friend Natesh Nayak will remain for ever present in my mind and in my heart.
I met him first in 1976 as he was starting his business "Combined Engineering Agencies". That was a challenge and became a success which his children are now hanling successfully. He made me feeling at home in his family, which, since that time is a branch of my family. He made me better know this huge, complex and fascinating country which is India.
His sense of communication is something fascinating : quite no language problem was existing when he came in France and met my friends only able to speak french.

Joe Nayak Uncle as he is called in Hyderabad, was a live wire in any cultural and spiritual activities especially the Charismatic Renewal. When he saw me active in the KCWA-Hyd as a Gen. Sectry he always used to ask me to take over the Hyd Renewal work, but due to my busy schedule, I always said no and more over I used to tell him that I am not Charismatic. He never left me since then, every time he meets me or sees me he used to speak about the Hyd Renewal Team. And in 2009, he just asked me to go for a Seminar in Mumbai and give him the feed back and that is how, he hooked me to the Renewal and I am now the coordinater for the Hyd Renewal Team. Just for his enthusiasm and encouragement, I took up and now that he is no more, I pray that the Almighty may give me the spirit ot take over from here and reach to a new heights. May God Bless his family members Neomi, Nisha, Nymphea and Nikhil and give them the strength to believe that he is attainted the eternal life by joining his wife Barbara Nayak in Heaven. May his soul rest in peace...

Joseph Natesh Nayak:You were truly a "People's Man".I have attended the funeral which was held St.Mary's Church Secuderabad,at 2.30pm on 10/03/2012.People from Mngalore,Kerala and twin Cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad gathered in large numbers to pay their last respect to the Departed soul.Paying tribute to him by his son though lengthy,was excelent.A tearful Tribute was paid by his grand daughter.There were about 20Priests who were Con-Celebrants.

Sorry to hear that Natesh Nayak passed away. I remember Natesh from way back, during my association and working with him in Sandvik, Pune. He was jovial, bubbly personality and a great entertainer with full of talents. He was helpful in nature, especially he helped and looked after me during my official visit to Secunderabad. I am saddened to hear that his beloved wife also has passed away. Sadly I lost touch with him when I moved away from Sandvik. Thanks Natesh and Barbara for the memories and may your souls rest in peace. I hereby convey my condolences to Natesh`s family as well.

It very unfortunate in losing a very kind, jolly, jovial & entertaining person. We had known him since the 1970’s the way he used to attend the programs and entertain the complete audience with melodious singing the song in Konkani & English as well as dancing. He and one of singing and dancing partners was my mother who enthralled the complete audience.
