Sr Clarissa BS (80), a member Bethany Provincial House Community, Chevayur, Calicut, passed away on 20.10.2012, afternoon at 3.00 pm in MIMS Hospital, Calicut, in the 59th year of her Religious life owing to a massive heart attack, which she had after a surgery of her arm.
Sr Clarissa nee K V Regina born on 19-05-1932 to the late KO Verghese and Anna in Kavuden family at Trichur in Kerala, lived her consecrated life with great dedication. She has served in communities at Bethany Mother House, Mangalore, Presentation Convent, Dharwar, Eudes Convent, West Hill, Calicut, and Lourds Convent, Pallikkunnu at Waynad and Bethany, Chathamangalam, and Provincial House, Chevayur, as a teacher, boarding mistress, Superior, Regional Procurator and many years as Province Procurator. She was noted for her commitment to duty, prayerfulness, love for the poor and concern for the sisters.
Her funeral will take place in the Provincial House Chapel on 21st, Sunday at 3pm.
