F J Martis (78), son of the late John and the late Anjeline Martis, husband of Nathaline Martis, father of the late Helen / Xavier Mathias, Rosy / Edward Cardoza, Janet / Valerian Menezes and Melwyn / Nancy Martis, brother of Christine Pinto, Cicilia D’Souza, the late Benny D’Souza, Edward Martis, Henry Martis, Alban Martis and Prescilla Castelino, grandfather of 7 children, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012.

Funeral cortege leaves residence Cardoza Villa, Indar on Tuesday, October 9 for St Joseph Church, Belman at 3.30 pm. Mass at 4.00 pm.

Death is not a tragedy but real. It's only when we are afraid of life that we fear death.Those who understand life are not afraid of death. Martis was such a person that he never feared death but lived a wonderful, carefree life to it's fullest. Jesus died on the cross for all of us so that we get a fresh lease of life when we die with him. All of us live for every moment unaware of what next? Mind you, that we will never live up to the age of 78 but he did. He was one of the finest human beings I have ever come across. May his soul rest in peace along with the saints and holy men/women.
