Lidwin Pereira nee Albuquerque (75), wife of Donald Pereira (formerly of Somalia), mother of Yvonne / Lawrence & Leeyon / Lancy, Brian / Sheela, Rohan / Reena & Roshan / Diana and grandmother of Lonelle, Brenelle, Gieselle, Lionel, Reuben & Darren, passed away in Mumbai on January 5, 2011.

Funeral details are awaited.

Lidwin formerly worked for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) at Mogadishu (Somalia), Ulan Bataar (Mongolia) and Hanoi (Vietnam) before retiring in Kalina, Mumbai.

She was born to Dennis & Apoline Albuquerque of Bendur/Kadri, Mangalore as the second of their ten children.

It is with great shock that we learnt of the death of Liddy our dear cousin. Please accept our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences and may the Good Lord give you the courage and strength to go through this sad and trying period in your life. We pray for all of you and ask God to grant eternal rest to the soul of Liddy and may she rest in peace. Amen.
