Ligory Tauro (99), son of Casmir Tauro and Ignatia Lobo, husband of the late Gertrude Tauro, brother of the late Fr J P Tauro and Theresa Pereira, father of Leena, Celestine, Cinthy, Neri, Benedicta, Thomas, Stany, Goretti and Jeffery, passed away on Wdnesday, December 14, 2022.

Funeral cortege leaves residence Taleki House, Kandavara on Thursday, December 15, at 10:00 am for Our Lady of Pompei Church, Gurupur Kaikamba, followed by Mass.

I had met him a few years ago when I went to attend 7th day remembrance of his brother Fr. J.P. Tauro and he was ninety then. A simple and humane person whom the Almighty rewarded with a long life. A simple, humble and down to earth person has left this world to be part of the nativity celebration in heaven. A very hard lived agriculturist, well known to our household. The lush green of his farmland and the rice fields of Taleki speaks volumes about his green hands behind the hardships. It was my agenda item to meet him in person in a month.
