Mabel Barbara Lewis (83), wife of the late Robert Alex Lewis, mother of the late Sherraline, Mario / Toolika and Claudine / Mario, grandmother of Gina and Danica, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Friday, May 06, at St Anthony's Friary Church, Hosur Road, Bangalore, followed by luncheon at the parish hall immediately after, and finally cremation at the Wilson Garden (BBMP) Crematorium at 3:00 pm the same day. The ashes will be interred in a niche at the St Patrick's Church crypt at the Hosur Road cemetery at a later date in a private ceremony.

Vallie,myself &Julie will miss you dearly,Mabel, having spent our childhood together & being the last 4 siblings of the 9 in the family.Our days in Hyderabad & Udyavara were memorable & unique as we grew up & formed our individual characters.You were a motherly figure to us next to our dear Mom & elder Sister Grace fmm.Additionally,You & Robert(BIL) mentored me when inadvertently,I stayed back in Kuwait & resigned my good job in Hy'bad on your advice. These are the family bonds we were fortunate to imbibe from you. I remember your engagement day in 1961 at North view,Hy'bad. Dad offered me my first peg which was scotch.And Robert coaxed me for my first smoke- a fine cigarillo,my dad prompting,you are in college now.This indicates the joyousness of the occasion. Yes,those were the days,as we look forward to the Grand Reunion of the entire family in Heaven.

The only consolation seems to be: they are all together now. They are not in pain anymore. I will always remember aunty for her smile, cordiality and cheerfulness.
