Walter George D'Sa (88), ex-NABARD/RBI, son of the late M. P. D'Sa and the late Josephine D'Sa, husband of May (neé Fernandes), father of Darryl/Nithya, Desmond/Christine, David/Vanita, grandfather of Ramona, Jordan, Faith, Kaitlyn and Craig, brother of the late Grace Miranda, the late Lizzie Pinto, Sr Gertrude UFS, Myrtle Fernandes, Sr Zelia AC, Eula Pinto, late Richard and Diony passed away on Friday December 17, 2021.

His mortal remains will be brought to the Church of Our Lady of Miracles (Milagres), Mangalore at 3:30pm on Wednesday, December 22 for viewing, followed by Mass at 4pm and burial thereafter.

No flowers or Mass cards, please.

Sad to know about the demise of Walterbab. He was very unassuming, commltted volunteer who looked after the accounts of Catholic Association of South Kanara (CASK) for several years after his retirement from Reserve Bank of India. Despite his health setback some years ago, which resticted his free physical movement, as an honorary office-bearer (Tresurer), he continued to visit the CASK office to handle its accounts and draw up its annual statement of statutary accounts. Very amiable and frindly person despite his high padigree and connections. May his soul rest in well-deserved peace and May his mourning family be consoled to bear the loss.

You might recollect that in 1970 I had got a job in Delhi and since I did not know anyone, my brother who was Walter's friend requested you folks to accomodate me till I find a place to stay. Both of you welcomed me with open arms and looked after me very well. You folks also helped me to get admission at the YMCA hostel which was difficult those days. I have always remembered this kindness of yours with gratitude. Remember Walter as a soft spoken, sincere and affectionate person.
