Florine Josephine Castelino (98), wife of the late Charles Castelino, mother of the late Joseph (Jossy) / Hyacinth, Edwin / Oriana, Jerome / Jessy, James / Renny, Jacintha / Terrance and Jane / Ivan, grandmother of Tina / Newton, Reema / David, Arnold / Priya, Neil / Viona, Astrid / Dillan, Annika / Ajit, Andrea / Allwyn, Keith, Melora and Nigel, great grandmother of Zoya, Gabriel, Emma, Lara and Aaron, passed away on April 4, 2021.

Mortal remains can be viewed at the church from 10:30 am onwards.

Funeral service would be held at 11 am on Monday, April 5, at Holy Redeemer Church, Hennur Bande, Hennur, Bengaluru.

Deeply saddened by the news of Florine bai passing away. She was the only surviving wife of my eldest cousin the late Charles. I was fortunate to meet her for the first time in January of 2018 and talk to her for a long time when visiting Bangalore and staying with her son Edwin and his wife Oriana. She had never met me before, but she knew my name and that of my older brothers and sister (all deceased). And a very sad part is that she was not able to see her grandson Kevin getting married in six days from now in Mangaluru. May God grant her eternal peace. She lived a widow for almost 45 years. She was well taken care of by her children, especially by Jacintha with whom she lived and by Edwin and Orianna next door. My heartfelt condolences to Edwin & Oriana, Jacintha & Terrance, James and Jerome and their spouses, her daughter Jane, and to Neil and Viona, and Keith, and all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. I will pray for you Edwin and Orianna, especially as your son is getting married next week, and Jacintha, Terrance, Neil and Viona, Baby Emma who had just returned to Mangaluru on a holiday with her parents and is unlikely to have seen her great grandmother, and of course Keith as he enters matrimony next week. I had the privilege of meeting my Aunt after so many years. She certainly had great sense of humour at that age. She brought her children up so well with love and great kindness and so she received loving tender care by her children. she was so lovely to talk to and no trouble to anyone till the end. I miss her beautiful smile and lasting memory I treasure it. She was great, clever, intelligent and very good memory of everything till the end. My condolences and sympathies to each and every one of you. May God bless her departed soul and rest in peace in heaven as she chose to join the Lord on Easter Sunday. what a beautiful gay to go.
