Lucie Suares (92), daughter of the late John & the late Bridget Suares, of Jail Road, Bejai, Mangalore and former resident of 'Ibrose', Kodialbail, Mangalore, passed away on December 30, 2019 Monday.

Funeral : January 1, 2020, Wednesday - in St Francis Xavier's Church, Bejai, Mangalore.

Cortege will arrive at 4.30 pm for viewing. Mass at 5.00 pm, followed by burial in the church cemetery.

Prior to that, between 3.00 pm & 4.00 pm last respects will also be paid at Devakripa, Bethany Home for aged at Attavar.

Saddened by the news of the demise of our Dear aunt Lucy. Eternal rest grant unto her Lord and may perpetual light shine upon her.I met Aunt Lucy when I got married to her neice Sophia in 1978. I was amazed at her religious zest,love for the poor,especially young children and the Christmas parties she held for them. Her admiration and love for Mother(now Saint) Theresa was well known.
Aunt Lucy had survived multiple operations and was always positive and never was without a smile. In spite of her frail health and trembling hands she was very creative which included the now famous crib in an egg shell.
She loved her nephews , nieces ,and their children and always wanted to do something for them besides praying for them.
She will be welcomed by our Lord with open arms.
