Funeral cortege will be at St Francis Xavier's Church, Bejai, Mangalore at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 9 for the Wake, followed by Mass at 2:30 pm.

Dearest Sharmila and the rest of the Gonsalves family,

My deep and sincere sympathy on the passing on of your father. I quite understand what it is like to lose a parent being fresh from the loss of my own dear mother precisely two months before Uncle Eusebius passed away.

I have fond memories of your parents and of my visits to your home. How I wish all of us could turn back the clock to a time when our parents were much younger and it seemed as if they would live forever!

It is a truism that no matter how old we are, we remain their children and feel orphaned when they pass on. And our loss is a void that will never be filled except with faith, prayer and memories.

May his soul rest in the Peace of Christ.

I met Esebius Baab, a few years ago, then I visited him a couple of times and met him here and there. It was he who told me that he was in the ICF at Chennai and knew my parents there, and I recalled them speaking about 'Mr&Mrs. Gonsalves' the good people they were. For sometime now have not met and seeing this Obit this morning made me sad, another old world personality has gone. The Lord gives and he takes...maythe dear soul rest in peace. May the near and dear get Blessings from HIM on high.
